Fun times with the Walters!

These are the days of our lives....

In May, our friends the Prices stopped by during their cross-country trip for a few hours of fun! (This time, no one's teeth got knocked on anyone's head!!) We had a great time catching up... and based on Tracy's facebook page, their trip is going fabulously. Thanks for stopping by... you're welcome back anytime!!!

Family photo shoot just outside Grandpa's - it was a nice day and we were all dressed up, so why not??!!

The Walter boys... only Finn & Phil are missing.

I love these shots... look how cute they are walking back together!
Dance Recital - May 17th & 18th
Amanda was in Tap & Tumbling this year. She really enjoyed it and is a natural when it comes to dance. Grandma & Papa McCone made a special trip down just for the recital, and our in-town family all came to watch Amanda at her best!

Amanda's Daisy "graduation" - June 8th, 2009
They had a fun tea party and received all their patches for the year. Thanks Mrs. Carrie and Mrs. Joyce for all your hard work!!

Amanda works the Hula Hoop at her Kindergarten graduation today...
I think it's time to get into Hula dancing!!

Amanda Graduates!!

Amanda showing off her Memory Book
Today was Amanda's Kindergarten Graduation - a very sweet (and emotional) end to her first "Official" year of school. The day started with some crafts and outdoor activities, where I got some pictures of Amanda with some of her friends. We also got to look through her Memory Book, and a book that she wrote - about going to the library at church!
Amanda with her "girls" - Abbie & Lauren; Maddie & Avarie
At snack time - which consisted of chocolate-covered graham crackers on top of small chocolate donuts in the form of graduation caps! - the teachers called each student up and said a few words about each one. They then shared their writing assignment from a couple of weeks ago, which was to write about what you want to be when you grow up.
Amanda with her AMAZING teacher!!
About Amanda, she said she is a good student and a great helper, often helping others at her table spell words - and that she is an amazing reader! Amanda says she wants to be a teacher when she grows up!!
Her teachers present her diploma!

We then presented our AMAZING teachers with their gifts - photo collages of the kiddos created by none other than the fabulous Lisa! They turned out very cute :) (You can probably see a better picture on Lisa's blog!)

The Teacher's Gifts... great work Lisa!
Rockstar class of 2021!!
And, one last picture... here are Amanda and I having a great time at the party. Can you tell my hair is brown? A little impulsive... wanted to try something different... I'm doing everything I can to help it fade!!

Congratulations, Amanda - you have grown so much this year and we are so proud of you!!!
Next: First grade, full school days, and so much more to learn!!
